We have served insured and uninsured physicians in medical malpractice defense matters. We regularly and successfully defend complaints filed with the Arizona Medical Board and the Osteopathic Board. We offer legal counsel to start up and existing physician practices in areas of contract, business disputes and risk management.

 

Hospitals

We currently provide legal services to rural Arizona hospitals including both medical malpractice and non litigation services. Kimberly Kent worked as a nurse and ECMO specialist as early as the 1977. For over 15 years, she worked side by side with other members of the health care team including nurses, doctors, and ancillary providers. This background enables her to save clients the stress and fees that many firms cannot offer. We have been successfully defending local Arizona hospitals for over 15 years and remain up to date on the rapidly changing laws affecting our hospitals.

 

Professional Liability Insurers

We have served both local and national insurers of physicians and hospitals and are well known to established and newer members of this field. We offer solid affordable legal counsel. We are compulsive about complying with defense counsel guidelines. A continuing and close communication with our client and his/her insurer is our priority. We manage some of the highest profile malpractice matters in the state. As the number of women health care providers grows the demand for our services with a variety of professional liability insurers grows.

 

Governmental Agency Representation

For the past four years, we have been awarded contracts as outside counsel for the Arizona State Attorney General and recently for Maricopa County. As needed, we provide legal counsel to state and local governmental agencies on a variety of medical legal issues including federal/state compliance, national accreditation, public health and correctional health care.

 

Correctional Health Care

We serve the healthcare providers and facilities at adult detention centers in Pima and Maricopa County on an as needed basis providing legal advice in areas of negligence, accreditation, local, state and federal regulations, risk management and facility monitoring by private organizations or government.

 

Consumers of Health Care

We represent injured persons on a select and limited basis. Because of the emotional, spiritual and financial cost of such cases we screen all referrals very carefully. We do welcome your referrals and will evaluate every situation to determine whether we will take your case.
